Tune Recommendation for CA?

Can anyone recommened a 335i tuner for CA crappy fuel? I only have access to 91 and I have no plans/desire for adding anything beyond a dci.

The Cobb seems easy to install/remove but maybe a waste if I'm limited to stage 1 drive.

JB4 and Procede also look appealing.

Just not sure which one would net the best results / bang for the buck given my limitations in mods and fuel. If anyone has input, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thanks

Unfortunately nothing atm that's within reasonable driving distance. Closest looks like 30 miles away or so.

I realize that, just wondering if there's a particular map on any of the current systems that are optimized / function best in this environment.

If all 3 systems net the same exact hp/trq numbers than I'll look to other factors to influence my decision (price/support/ease of install, etc)

Thanks

They all drive very differently. With a pretty significant range of performance. It's best talk to those who have tried more than one option. Or else you will get a considerably biased response with people recommending what they are running. One thing is for sure, given that you live in CA and only have access to 91oct and don't intend to run meth/ethanol, you will want a tune that actually adjusting ignition advance. Good boost control is also very important given you octane constraints.

Our facilities are located in Irvine, so we do all of our development work on 91 octane. We can assure you that your car will be able to extract the most power given the fuel capacities. Further, if you decide to install water-methanol injection, our Race file will allow you to successfully utilize this upgrade with 91 octane.

If I can answer any questions for you, feel free to email me or shoot me a PM!

Let me know if you need any help deciding or purchasing. Tune shopping around here turns into a heated battle and it can be hard to sift through the good info and the not so good info.

All the tunes can be optimized for 91 octane. Happy shopping. Btw, Jeff sells all of the tunes so he can help you out more.

With the COBB tune + 91 octane you can go all the way to Stage 2+, you just can't use the Aggressive setting (those are reserved for 93 octane). The mapping setup on the each stage is Drive --> Sport --> Aggressive.

Cobb should be busy working on the beta v4 maps so they can be officially released

Everyone has an opinion, but when you truly look through all the smoke and mirrors at how the tune actually interacts with the car, you will find only one tune that truly goes a step above and beyond. Vishnu Proceed... You'll find that the N54 will easily make 400 RWHP and most of the tunes on the market today can get you to that point. Don't get me wrong, I personally think that all the tunes have something to offer, but it really depends on your level of expectation.

It's not that easy with 91 octane fuel only. Yes, maybe with meth and/or e85.
