Manual Shifting on an AUTO
hey all i'm new here...
Just bought my first bimmer and first auto, 2011 335i with 7k miles! anyways i'm having a great time with the car i just have one question: Is there anyway to keep the car from upshifting when redlining in manual mode? should work by holding the paddle , basically shift to 2nd and dont release it. never tried it though.

Since the stock turbo starts to run out of air just north of 6,000, there is no reason to push near redline. The track guys will tell you that shifting about 6,200 is what you should do for the best times.
