No coding on new alpine upgrade?

Ok I just installed new alpine upgrade the system is deffinetly louder. My dealer here in germany said I did not need to recode(he also printed install instructions where it said in german coding was not required they have never installed one of these systems though) I am trying to figure out if there is a new kit out or do I still need to recode the music sounds pretty good I can deffinetly notice some distortion when I have bass and treble up all the way playing loud. What do you guys think??

You should recode and you should make sure the crossovers are wired as mentioned in this thread. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=584286
