warranty transfer questions
I'm trying to sell my car pvt, i still have 16 months left on my CPO warranty and Maintenance plan. Does anyone know if this transfers with the car to the new owner (stays with the car)? Also is there a fee someone would have to pay to transfer it?
thanks in advance |

I think if you sell your car you can get some money back on the warranty... Not sure

CPO stays with the car, I bought a 08 328i and took it to the dealer and they said (I hope you did not buy a warranty becasue this is a CPO)
I traded the car and I was able to get alot more for the trade due to the CPO If you bought a 3rd party warranty then you can get some of your money back for it, I have done this also with another car. |

I'm trying to trade the car in to audi and they are basically saying the warranty and maintenance doesnt help the price for a trade...it has 16 months of each left. So thats why i'm trying to sell pvt. My car is listed higher than avg sale price of $23,500 but i explain its because of the warranty and maintenance remaining on the car and it will pay for itself basically. I'm asking $26 but would gladly take $25,000 which seems reasonable only $1500 more than avg sale price and my car is 08 328xi coupe with 47k miles.

You will have a hard time selling it for $26,000 (IMO) I picked up a 08 335xi for $24,000 with no CPO and 45,000 miles on it. I did pick up a power train warranty for 2g but I will be going back in 6 months to get a refund on lower the monthly payment a little. |
