Kumho Ecsta LE Sport tires
Hey guys...been searching for a tire that is 295/30/19 and seems like there are only a few options and one that has caught my eye is the Kumhos
Just wanted to know what you guys thought about the tires as they are really really cheap but seem to get pretty good reviews by almost everyone. does anyone have these already? and how do they compare to the super sports as this is what i have now. only reason why i dont wanna get the super sports is because after getting my lsd all i do is fishtail and is getting really expensive and only getting like 5k miles on the rear tires, but i do like to go fast around turns and wanna make sure there is enough dry traction with the kumhos. also i am running 275 right now and seem to not rub at all except for when i hit huge bumps but again i only rub on the very edge of the tire close to my rim...so if i roll and pull my fender slightly would i rub with 295?

295's will be cutting it close but you should be fine with a fender roll. Kumho's won't match your PSS's in performance at all. Sounds like you do some very aggressive driving so I'd recommend going with a higher end tire that'll give you more traction. Yokohama AD08's or maybe Bridgestone RE-11's? They won't last as long since they're more of a track tire. PSS's are perfect for a balanced tire, long life and great traction.

also about the pss's...of course they are the ultimate in max performance tires but i feel like the kumhos will be slightly worse...i thought the dw's (not dws's) would have been really nice because of the reviews but they were not even that good compared to the pss's. i feel like the kumhos would be comparible to the dw's and if they are then it would be fine with me as they are half the price of the pss's and 50% cheaper than dw's

from my experience here, no one will talk to you about cheap tires. I put nexen's on my car and didn't get one response about them. If you burn through rubber fast, get the kumho. To me they are just tires. As long as they are decent grip on dry and good grip for wet im happy. If you fishtail with the PSS's, your def gonna fishtail with any other tire. Maybe calm down on public roads......
A guy at my work has them on his lexus F and I don't hear him complain. |

Even in strictly enforced areas, one can often corner pretty quickly on cloverleafs and highway exit/entrance ramps.

but how is the kumhos compared to the dw's? if the kumhos are as good with grip and ride quality is nice then i would probably go with these as they are much cheaper and i would not worry about how long they last. i think i would actually like a little less grip in the rear as i like to bring the rear end around a lot and with my lsd i would still have decent grip i feel like with almost any tire, but again im not the expert here so i dont know i suppose.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...&affiliate=AH8 The Kumho ECSTA LE sport is a bit quieter riding and has a bit less grip compared to the Continental Extreme Contact DW.
