Light coming out from under hood / top of xeon

I had some front end work and when I got the car back, of course I was looking for anything that could possibly be out of place. then I noticed at very specific angles, there was light coming out from under the hood, above the xeon's. see attached. I've never noticed this before on any e90. we pulled everything apart and nothing seems to be out of place. in the headlight assembly, there is a slot where the light is coming from, but it seems to be built that way.

can anyone confirm and/or have ideas?

it does appear to be, best I can tell. I think I need to compare directly with another car right next to mine to truly confirm. super strange.

It looks to appear it comes like that...If it bothers you, just stick a tiny strip of weather stripping to that location and it should cover up that light.

Indeed, normal. To echo others, a little electrical tape or black vinyl will help to alleviate the issue!
