Hello I have a 2007 335i e90 4dr sedan with sports package.

I bought it used with 69000 miles about 6 months ago. this is the second time I get the below engine message I have no Idea what it means but once I turn off the car and turn it back on its gone.

I gotten this error twice now the first time was about 1 month after I bought it and install the BMS dual cone air intakes. I was going from NY to Boston and was doing about 100MPH when it happen.

The same message put up this weenend when I was coming back from virginia doing about 90 MPH. I got an oil change 5 days before and put mobil 1 in it. can any one please tell me why this happens. thanks.

I would normally say fuel pump but that doesn't make the car louder. It just runs rough. But you need to take it to either a deal or some place with a GT1 or Autologic scanner. That will tell you exactly what's causing the malfunction.

I got this message about a month ago. There were two leaks in my vacuum hose. Dealer fixed it and it has not come back.

Maybe check the DIY section for cleaning/swapping the VANOS solenoids? Sounds like this happens to you under heavy throttle or WOT which could mean a sticking/dirty solenoid. Just a wild guess.
