Car stalled while driving, help me diagnose
So on my way to work today, I was sitting at a traffic light, and my engine suddenly revved high on its own and then returned to normal. I thought it was odd. Then later on the way home, I was turning a corner and the engine turned off. After a few tries it started back up. I also noticed that i'm getting about 3 mpg worse gas mileage than normal. The service light hasn't come on yet. I scanned the car with INPA and it showed:
DME/DDE errors 2A32 and 2A47. It seems these are related to the eccentric shaft sensor. Edit: After some searching, I'm just going to take the car in to the dealer. I get the feeling this is not a simple problem. Last edited by firesnatch; 08-15-2012 at 01:13 PM.. Reason: Corrected error codes. |

Mine's acting up too. It would stall after I step on the gas, usually after a stop. The cars starts back up after. But sometimes has a hard time starting followed by eratic idling. If I keep on the gas it doesn't die, but sputters. Mine has stalled on me about 4 times in the last 2 days and momentarily stalled when I was accelerating on the freeway. An independent shop pulled codes and it showed DME Fault also, something pointing to SIB B24 21 07. Which said they had to basically reset the DME. After they did that, the problem came back after driving home. So tomorrow the car is going to the Dealer and hopefully they can figure out what's wrong. Good thing I have another 6 months of CPO.
