windshield sealant deteriorating

Hey everyone my winshield sealant (don't know what it's really called) is falling apart. What i'm trying to describe is the rubber piece that goes around the windshield. its been in direct sunllight for too long and has fallen apart. does anybody happen to know what that part is called? Also, anybody else have this problem?

I KNOW i remember reading this exact post a few months ago, the guy replaced his without even taking the windshield off... I think he had an issue with part numbers tho..

Once it's been replaced, I recommend treating the new trim with Gummi Pflege twice yearly to prevent deterioration.

Tom
Sounds food! Hopefully it isn't a hassle to install. Thanks for the tip!
