strange problems
Been having some strange problems with my 1er. After installing jb4 on map 1 and 5 i have been getting some strange stuttering in high rmp's. Not having changed plugs i ordered some and am guessing that will solve the problem.
However today i was driving on map 1, and under normal driving conditions my limp mode light came on, the "brake" light lit up in yellow, and when i pulled over the rpm's were jumping up and down at around 1,000 rmps. I have no codes as the jb4 erased them, however after restarting the car it ran fine. Any idea what is going on? My car is an 08' and has 90,000 miles on, but has only been tuned for the last 10,000 thanks, David |

It will likely be the plugs, but turn off the code-clearing so you can read them if it happens again. I'm assuming the plugs aren't 90k miles old, but if you haven't changed them since at least adding the tune, 10k might have done them in. Most people have to change them every 10-15k while tuned.
I had a misfire in cyl 5 within 1000 miles or so after switching from JB4 to COBB at about 37k miles (JB4 was in at about 32k when I bought the car), but changing the plugs fixed it.
