E90/91 LCI 320d air filter replacement

I've read some stuff about air filter changes on pre-lci 320ds being a pain in the arse but just wondered if it was as bad on the 177 & 184hp cars? It looks like the lcis have a different (square with the corner cut off) filter so I was hoping its now a 5min job

Anyone done it?

Yea I just did it, release the clips and pull upwards toward the headlight, watch the bottom plastic fixing it can be a little stiff to move but it will release.
Then just pop in the new filter and replace the top and secure clips, your old filter will probably look a bit worse for wear.
