Anyone seen anything of the new 3 series hybrid yet or have they only just appeared on the dealers' website?

it just says 6 cylinder petrol, turbo engine, with a lithium battery.
No info on what the battery is doing....

its a standard 335i engine but with a battery feeding a couple of electric motors as well.

Basically means that at low speeds (sub 30mph i think) it can run just on the motors and is silent. i think it has about a 2 mile range on nothing but electric. the engine and brakes etc are then used to re-charge the batteries.

On full throttle blasts, the electric motors are used to suplement the power from the petrol engine, giving you brutal torque from almost a standstill

That drops to a mile and a half if a rabbit/rotating dildo is plugged in,apparently.
