I have no heat...

I was delaying going to dealer cuz heater core fix is 10hrs plus of labor.

But I called them and they said it may be a water valve and that is an easy fix.....is that something I can check, if so, how??

Thanks

Before I had my heater core replaced, the tech said they disconnected the electrical connector to the water valve, then ran the car to see if heat then came out of the vents. It didn't work in my case and the core was replaced under warranty.

I have no idea what the valve body looks like or how to get to it. But if you can find it and disconnect it, that may prove if that's all you need. Sorry for the wild-ass-guess.

Had it at the dealer today, they said my car doesn't have a water valve?!?

They flushed the system for 200.00 bucks and said it didn't make a difference and that I need a heart core....2k

first thing to check is obviously to see if you have coolant in your car. Second thing i would check is to see if the blendor is working. Heater core would be the last thing i check.
