First try JB4/DCI with Map 5 and 40/60 E85
After reading lots of posts, I decided to try JB5 map 5 with 6 gallons of E85 and 10 gallons of 91 octane or about 38%. I'm lucky enough to have E85 within 5 miles of home/work. I saw about 16-17 psi of boost on my hijacked fuel gauge (I love the stealth gauge mode and the indication that I have reached 160F on my oil temp - thanks BMS :-).
After several WOT pulls to let the autotune settle in, I went to a deserted backroad to try a couple of 0-60 runs. First one, I decided to disable all traction control. Wow, that didn't work with a brake boost WOT start... Much wheel spin. Left traction control off and tried again by feeding throttle slower. That was better. It became quite clear that with stock runflats and this much wheel HP available that launches from a stop will take plenty of practice. I can think of worse things to work on. From what I can tell, if you go to too high of an E85 blend, the fuel system can't keep up resulting in too lean AFM's. Is this correct? Does the DME or JB4 correct for this or am I risking running too lean (and too hot)? I want to have fun (every once in a while) w/o asking for (too much) trouble. By the way, E85 is no bargain since it was only 10% cheaper than 91, but only provides 66% of the enrgy content of gas.

A lot of people are running up to 50% e85, I for one being one of them. It seems to be different from car to car but do some logs and check out injector duty cycle and your hpfp an see what's up, if you aren't throwing codes or anything you should be fine at 38%...now go have fun!
