The Best 60-100 time that I ran was a 4.39 so I can see how I would maybe get into the 3s if I was on a 12% decline.

Or trapping 8-9mph faster than you in the 1/4.

What size wheels and tires?

With 265/35/18 combo (25.3 Diameter) you can reach 100 MPH @ 7000RPM in 3rd gear.

With what is probably an even taller dragstrip combination you probably don't need to shift into 4th to reach 100MPH.

Yes, gearing can give you advantages in some races, and handicap you in others. I think a 60-130 will give a better overall indication of your car's acceleration capabilities. At least traction for the most part won't be an issue.

60-130 the 6AT really shines,

60MPH = 4250RPM in 3rd gear

130MPH = 6850RPM in 4th gear.

Altho 65-125 is probably around 1.4 seconds faster than 60-130. (can u check that on your VBOX Warren?)

That logic doesn't work with Hotrod's times.
Maybe one of these days I'll go to Sac so we can compare apples to apples.

That same logic would say that hotrods times don't represent the vast majority of other similarly modified cars. And by hotrods admission, he needs to shift into 4th to reach 100mph. Unlike us 6MTs which don't.

Maybe you should also visit the track in Florida that Malaka runs at without meth. Or the one that Georgiatech runs your traps with dci, v4 and meth. All of them 6mts just like us. Short of u coming to Sac and picking up 7-8mph in trap speed, this is about as apples to apples as we are going to get.

I'd love to go to Florida.
How about you going to Famoso or is that too far for you?
Our 60 ft times are about the same and so are our ETs, but for some reason you get a 7-8 mph higher trap. I really doubt that I shift that much faster than you. That would be the only reason for our times to be the same since your car is so much faster than mine.

As I said, one of these days I'll go to Sac, but I have a feeling that you won't be surprised with the outcome. If I'm running 11.80 with a DA of 1500 ft, I can just imagine what I would hit with a DA of sea level or below.
You for some reason don't think that the DA helps, but maybe I'll prove you wrong.

Here we go again Craig. You'll notice how this usually works. You repeatedly say something directed at me. When I finally comment, you get all emotional and start flinging theories as to why your trap is low. Unless I'm mistaken, it was even slower than Terry's tune-only 335 running race gas. On the same track and same day. Is that correct? So perhaps you should spend more time trying to figure out why your traps is low instead of trying to figure out why my trap is high. And I have I have no doubt given more practice or better conditions or a better track, you will beat my ET. Drag racing has never been my strong point and I only do it when necessary. You can clearly drive well and seem to enjoy the sport. I don't like whipping out the ruler on a regular basis with respect to 1/4 mile times or on-road acceleration times. We've already reached the point at which people are using nitrous to push beyond the limits of what our turbos alone are capable of supporting. So my interests are elsewhere.

Can someone post one of those gearing charts? One for 6MT and one for 6AT so we can see what speed each gear goes to etc. Or if you know of a site w/ a calculator post it and I will plug in the numbers.

No emotions.
You're right, I think Terry had a little bit faster trap with his auto than my manual.
Did you ever get that Vbox to show any comparisons with your procede logs?
Wait a second, I dont want to direct any emotions towards you. Did anyone else with their procede logs compare them to a vbox?

What is a normal 60-100mph for a 335xi running completely stock? I'm right around 7 seconds and not really sure if thats good/bad bc it seems like every here is tuned...
