I just won't let anyone else drive my car! I'm completely paranoid after my window tint experience which most of you know about. Find myself driving around in wifes car a lot!!!!! Especially when going out at night, shopping centres, large car parks, the city etc etc.
Sorry to see Dan - I'd be pissed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny story, i used to work at the westin melbourne when i was studing (& earnign substantially less money) and i can tell you, if you make enough noise they will pay the damage they caused. Just keep demanding to speak to the people in charge and tell them that it's BS the they deny not doing it!

sorry to hear about your damage.....i really feel your pain....especially when u go to lengths to take care of your car!
I have stayed at that hotel last year....i insisted on parking my w221 s500 by myself....just didnt want to risk anything happening. Hope they fully pay for a new rim.

Then they should payout, unless they have conclusvie proof that they didn't inflict the damage. you could always try going through your insurer to make them pay.

With most car parks there are signs absolving them of any responsibility for damage so they will probably hide behind that clause. I had a similar issue with my last car with an attendent scratching the bumper, owners of the car park basically told me to bugger off.
What I did then was I got a written quote for repair/replacement of the damaged item. I then filled in a stat-dec stating that the vehicle was undamaged prior to leaving the car on that day. Both of these items were attached to a nicely but firmly written demand letter indicating they had 5 days to rectify the issue or I would take it further by commencing legal action. After no response I then lodged a claim with the Consumer Tennancy Tribunal, cost about $50. If you look this joint up on the internet it's basically a place you go to resolve minor issues through 1stly mediation and secondly infront of a retired judge. They then make a formal ruling. In my case I kind of won, the car park people were told to pay $500 of the $1000 quote I presented. I then went to my normal panel people and paid them $500 to have the repair done. |
