328xi muffler options
I am looking to swap out the oem muffler in my 2010 328xi. I don't really care about hp, I just want a more aggressive tone. I brought it to a local shop today, and he said I would need to look for a cat back system. I am not having any luck finding one. I saw one for Borla (p/n 140505), but it appears it's not available yet.
Has anyone here just swapped the oem with a universal muffler with relative ease? The mechanic I saw said there is little room to work with, with say a magnaflow 14816. The turns with the piping would be almost 90 degrees. Any advice is appreciated. |

Thanks for the response, do you have any suggestions on where to buy? Its more than I wanted to spend, but it sounds great on youtube. Would you trust a local muffler shop to install, like midas?

Bmw only charges like $90 for the installation of the PE. Midas has a pretty high hourly rate plus you wont get a warrenty with the install if you take it elsewhere. I would just do it at a dealership
