Cordless buffer/polisher
I'm looking for a cordless polisher/buffer...corded is not an option since I live in the middle of my condo complex and have no access to an outlet. Any recommendation, been lookin online but I can't find any that stood out

The selection isn't too big on these. I would go with something like the Ryobi P430. I've never used one but if I were to buy something like this, I would want the battery pack right on top for weight distribution purposes.

maybe just drive to a friends house.
reason being, the battery will have uneven power while polishing as it drains, so your car will be left with a different look start to finish... just a thought |

Bump this up...found a craftsman 6" but it's sold out everywhere...was wondering if it's possible to just use a drill with a finishing pad. All I need it for is monthly bi-weekly polishing just to keep it lustrous. Since the car is new I really don't have a need for cutting pads etc

Trust me on this.... things happens. Last week on the freeway, a small object fell off of a truck ahead of me. It bounced across 3 lanes and brushed against my bumper. It left me a with a scratch 3 inches long. Fortunately, it was not to the metal and I was able to rub it out with the PC.

Agree on not going the drill route. A power drill is in essence a mini-rotary. I've seen someone use the 3M scratch removal kit for drills and end up with holograms everywhere it touched. It also has the potential to burn, as mentioned before.

How much power do these cordless buffers have? I don't think you'll be able to do much with it. Maybe for applying wax or something but if you want to do paint correction I don't think they'll cut it.

For all those interested...paired my PC 7424XP with a 750W power inverter from Harbor Freight and thing works like a charm. BTW, the power inverter was on sale for $39.99

Meguiars DA Power System sucks,,too slow
Dude, dont waste your time, energy and money, pay $60 to $80 and get the exterior detailed by pro every year, keep washing car through touchless car wash and when you go to touchless car wash tell the guys that DONT Touch the car not even for dry. You can take the car to next block and dry it your self with quick detailer ![]() |
