45-48 PSI is quite high. I would recommend anywhere from about 35-38 PSI.

I have two labels on my door jamb. First is the standard 32psi front/38psi rear.
Then, there is the yellow with red border label that sez if you intend to drive up to and over 100 mph and/or carry lots of people or stuff, the recommended inflation is 39 psi front/45psi rear. This is for both RFT and non-RFT. I pumped my non-RFT Hankook 12s to 35 psi front/41psi rear, just under the recommended numbers to account for the fluctuations in temperature here in the Mid-Atlantic region of USA, where the temps have been as low as 45 to 99 degrees, sometimes on the same day. When I took a defensive driving course, the instructors told the class to always pump up the tires to 45psi all around. Of course, we were doing some wild driving, including wet pavement and barrier avoidance with threshold braking. OP, go with what you feel most comfortable, and remember to plus up the pressure on non-runflats to get the same kind of performance you have come to expect from the OEM runflats.

Thanks all,
I set down the pressure to 38 front & 42 rear, feel better but still have a little bit jump when drive fast, maybe the M-Sport suspension and the bad road condition in Hong Kong, I will try to set down the pressure one more time and test again, thank you very much ![]() |

Tire-pressure is all about load on the tire and speed you drive with.
I once got hold of the System the tire-makers in Europe used since 1980 and since 2005 also the Americans. Learned myself Excell to make spreadsheets for it. http://cid-a526e0eee092e6dc.office.l...0tyre-pressure in this map on my public map of skydrive/hotmail spreadsheets and examples for re-calculating when other then original, or to check the original tires , and see if how low you can go for sertain conditions. The normal use in the spreadsheets is what they gave in Europe before 2000, and was for 3 persons and a little load. This is not given anymore after about 2005, so the first part for calculating back this weight is useless, and the normal use mostly not to be trusted. New normal use is what I call Heavy use in my spreadsheet , and is called for 4 persons and load , and for this the Gross axle weight ratings are filled in. New heavy use is what I call Vacation use with tow bar load. But you can also fill in your own weights. If you cant work it out, give me the needed details, and I will do it for you |

I also have Non RFT HanK Venus pro 3 19 inch. 235/35 front 265/30 back, my door also doesn't give me any specs for 19inch tires....also, I have a slight crack in my front right tire...is it normal for low performance tires to crack just above the sidewall after 3 years? It's 2-3mm deep at most and hasn't affected my performace with no leakage or visibility of thread. I would like to what the optimal psi is for all tires and any comment on dry cracked tires.....if possible please.
Thanks BB

I actually tried 45 all round as mentioned above given my tires have a max of 50 and are HK tires and it actually feels very responsive it terms of grip, slip, Braking take offs and normal driving. We have great and poor roads in Lebanon. So you just got to memorise the bumps n roads lol. I did feel a bit of stiffness in the front when going over speed bumps so maybe 40 front 45 rear. FYI when I got them checked they where 40 front n back. I'm very happy with the HK directional VS tires, buy tread wear eats us all I suppose hence the minor outer crack. Very small but I'm very picky...I have an AAA and sealer in my coupe as it has no room for spares as we all know. Hopefully, I won't need to use it! Im using my iPhone to post as I just joined so once I get back to my DT I will upload some pics.
Thanks BB |

bavarian black i would take the tire in to be checked if it can be sealed i had a little crack in my 19's and hit a pot whole, i wasnt able to avoid it, and the whole rim was destroyed cause it had already lost some of its integrity.

Many thanks in advance for all your replies EDIT- rims not damaged what so ever...just a small crack IN THE FRONT TIRE. Tires still have have a nickel on the tread were. But we all know the sidewall is the thinnest part of the tires. Happy driving BB

Sticking with that. Basically; a 3 to 4 psi diff btw front and back and as long as your not under the standard psi limit depending on your roads you should be fine with 19in set ups. Happy driving! BB
