30FF code? Simple underboost?

Running JB4 and DCI
Is this just a leak that I need to find or could something be wrong with the turbos? Occurs under WOT and higher load. Happened today when I stomped it in 4th around 3500 rpm.
(I was purposely trying to replicate situation)

My car is CPO'd should I just call my SA and take it in?

My 30FF was for a boost leak in the vacuum lines... Hoses are NOT covered under CPO. BMW wanted like $450 to replace my vacuum lines... I laughed at them and went to an Indy. I paid less than the CPO deduct would have been alone to fix my car at the Indy.

You can ask an Indy how much they would charge to find the problem for you and if it is a hose, let them fix it. If its something CPO will cover, you can just pay the Indy for their diagnostic and go get it under warranty at BMW.

That was just my experience. Iv seen other problems for 30FF.

Could be a multitude of things, it's hard to say. Diverter Valves leaking, broken charge piping, worn vac lines, cracked stock FMIC end tank and/or connections, wastegates not holding boost properly, boost solenoids, list goes on and on.

Take a look at this link. It's an informative post that goes over the different parts that may be causing your 30FF and how to fix them.

Thanks guy!

I think I'll call the dealer and get the car in to be checked out. If they can't reproduce the code what happens?

I have the JB4 like I said and I'm wondering if its an issue with the extra boost it puts down. And seeing as ill remove it and my DCI before bringing it to the dealership I'm not sure if the car will throw a code in the stock form? Know what I mean.....

Anyway, hopefully the key has stored the code. Ill call an Indy shop as well and get there pricing. Stupid how hoses aren't covered. Like the maintenance of a hose can relate to an oil change, tires, brakes, rotors, etc!! That wire is not a "wear" item. It should be CPO'd

Boost issues with a moded engine might kill your CPO. If you want to take it to the dealer you best remove the JB4 first.
