SiriusXM Add-On to Base Stereo

Hi all, I apologize as I am sure this topic has been covered in detail; I could not find anything on my specific issues. As the title infers, I want to add SiriusXM to my 2010 335d. (Build date approximately 11/2009)

I have gotten quotes from dealerships ranging from $750 - $1650. I have no idea what is involved to assess the quotes. All things considered I will not pay $750 to do this.

What I am curious about is whether this job is all labor or if there are parts involved? And if there are indeed parts involved, would anyone know the part number(s)? Thank you all in advance.

It actually is quite a job, especially if you are not pre-wired, you will need the Sirius antenna, have your radio coded or headunit upgraded.

If the car is "Sirius Ready", does that indicate pre-wired or no?

No external Sirius OEM tuner or full pre-wiring available from MY2010-on. Only the antenna is pre-mounted/pre-wired standard from MY2010-on in the Sedan and Coupe.
