Does anyone sell just the headlight washer springs (without the covers)?

Since I haven't removed the bumper from my new 335is, I didn't know the right method for unclipping the headlight washer cover springs beforehand and two of the springs stretched out a bit, causing the covers to not be able to sit flush with the bumper. The covers themselves, and the washer extenders, are fine. I just need new springs.

The stealership wants $60 for two unprimed covers which is insane. I checked RealOEM for part numbers on just the springs but no bueno.

Does anyone know of part numbers, or a supplier for just the springs?

try trimming the springs......
you cannot get them separate.
or go to the local hardware store possibly

Yeah I was just thinking I could do that (trim down the stretched springs). I'll try that first. Seems silly to spend close to $50 just for little springs- sheesh.

I haven't tried it yet, but I *think* one would carefully pry away the washer cover first, juuuust enough to be able to get a pick or similar stealthy tool in to pull the spring down and out of the telescopic nozzle ends. Then one can remove the bumper.

I haven't confirmed how easy or difficult this is, but it seems to make sense.

Next best option is to disconnect battery as the nozzle is out. Requires two people to do tho

Once the nozzle is out, its easy to hold it in place. Its just a matter of getting it to do so.

it's actually quite "strong" if you know what i mean. It retracts as soon as you let go and it takes quite a bit of pressure to hold on to it with your fingers. I am not Hercules by any means

It is pretty strong, but I've been holding it by hand just fine. If you do it too long the sharp edges hurt a bit though
