Borla Mids installed and now.....Vibration!
So I took my 2009 335xi to a local muffler shop the other day to have my Borla mid pipes installed. I would have done it myself but its 20 degrees outside and I dont have a lift. I told the guy not to weld and use clamps instead because I wanted the option of putting my cats back on. Well I picked my car up and he handed me this plate that he took off to make the cuts and was unable to put back on because the clamps are now in the way. Not sure what this plate is for but at around 50 mph I have a low frequency vibration felt through out the car. Its not a drone because it doesnt change with engine speed only actual speed. Any ideas what this plate is for and if removing it can harm anything? Going to rotate the tires this weekend to make sure its not them (lots of potholes around these parts). The plate is rectangular in shape and it has 4 bolt holes at either end... thanks for any help!
