Added Morel Integra Ovation XO 4 for the centre

Recently my vibe started playing up, probably due to me over powering it as i had it bridged. So i decided to replace it.

I have now added a morel IO to the centre, which is basically a coaxial. I had to shave parts of the centre mounting bracket to enable it to fit, but this was a minor adjustment. It fits in perfectly after this. Nice and tight. I removed the panel under the glovebox and put the crossover in there. The speaker itself looks really nice and you can tell its made with care. A real contrast to the Vibe.

I have only had it playing for a few hours but it already sounds quite impressive. The integra, in combination with the dotechs, produces excellent results. its hard to describe but it just oozes out quality all over the dash. In my opinion, music sounds more real than my previous Vibe. The beauty of it all comes out when i select the driver setting on the MS-8. It is amazing.

Did you end up finding just 1 or did you have to buy the pair?

Hey Mob - I finally got my new speaker and will also be needing to install a morel crossover in the glovebox area. Could you provide some more info where you put yours? Also - is it in a spot where it will be disturbed when the dealer does the battery cable/fuse box connection recall? Thanks.

You should put your crossover in the trunk. It is less work to install and you have less of a chance of picking up interference.

I found a list of replacement speakers but it is old and alot of the links do not work. Do you know where I can find a list of replacement speakers for a 2006 E90 ?

+1

I had a hard time finding a good place where it would fit behind the glove box so I ended up mounting it in the trunk. I mounted it to the back of the tail light area with velcro where the oem amp is. I used in wall speaker wire with 4 leads so running the speaker wire was the same amount of work as mounting the crossover in the glove box area and running a wire to the amp anyway.
