Funny "schreeching" sounds from front passenger wheel

Hi
I was washing my car over the weekend when i heard this funny schreeching sort of noise coming from the front passenger wheel. The car was parked in the sun for a few hours and i only drove it a few metres under the carport to wash. So when i hosed down the car this noise came about. It would go on for about 5 seconds stop for 10 and repeat itself. This seems to happen the past few times i wash my car.

Anyone with similar experiences?

Is there any steam coming out?

I had/have this issue on my E88. Only noticed it in the past few months but basically it seems as though a seal has gone somewhere and when hosing or washing the car, water is getting on something hot. For me it's happening on the driver side so I'm assuming it's hitting some kind of exhaust component. I doubt it's the brakes as they wouldn't be hot enough to insta-boil water.

I cannot see any steam. The sound is kind of high pitched.

If the sound is only there when its stationary and being hosed that's the only thing I can think off. Cars don't normally squeal when not moving =P

rock or small stone caught in the brakeshield?

had that happen a few times - one time removed the wheel to pick the culprit out (small stone) and the other just kept driving till it fell out (it raised plenty of looks from bystanders as the screeching was very loud)
