I need help installing my HID's in my foglights on my 2009 E90 335. I have the DDM slim ballasts, and as I researched, I need to put capacitors somewhere to get my HID's working correctly. It sounds simple, but I have no idea how to do this.

Can anyone help me out either through the forums, or in person? If you come out in person I'll buy you some food and beer!

Non-Canbus kits will throw error codes

You need error cancelers. They just plug into the ballast. No fuss.

oh and error cancelers are still not guaranteed to get rid of codes as some cars don't respond well to them. Best way is to code out the bulb check.

i put error cancelers on my e90 fogs and because of BMW having reverse polarity my cancelers exploded LOL. I did solder a capacitor to my fog lights and they work perfectly

Check this thread out. Its very easy. Solder the capacitor in parallel before the ballast. You can go with 2200uf or 4700uf caps.

I've been looking at this thread, and it is totally unclear to me where to solder the capacitors. The wires look a lot different even though we have the same kit

The arrow always points towards the negative side. This is the wire that connects the ballast to the car.

Sweet. This makes it more clear where I need to solder it in. I got restless and bought a CANBUS kit from Mod My 3, but now I have an extra set of ballasts in case something happens to my other ones.
