Taping off car before detailing
Just wanted to make sure that I should tape off my trim and any plastic part of my e92, is there anything else I should look out for before I start detailing my car?

Everything made of rubber, chrome, aluminum (anything not painted next to the surfaces you will be polishing) should be taped. Be especially cautious of the felt trim around the sunroof, that stuff is easy to burn and damaged if not careful.

+1 Having to tape stuff off also depends on what you are using compound/polish/wax wise and what machine you are using. If you are polishing with a Rotary, you should always tape off trim etc. With a DA, its not always needed. Some products stain trim and some are designed not to stain trim. The felt around the moonroof should always be taped off. Just be careful and take your time.
