maybe it was Dinan tune. I am thinking many of these owners that spend so much money on these mods at the dealer that they would not bother to even sale it on the side, but just trade the car in as is. Most likely the dealer wanted too much and got sold at a auction. my 2 cents, haha

nice find though, and take the 335i for your self and give the gf your 328

The USB cable screams JB4. IIRC the Dinan tune is a flash so you wouldn't have any reason for the USB cable.

OP, sell the intake and buy a DCI and JB4 G5 and you'll still have cash left over!

Could have had a JB4 and was too lazy to take out his usb cable when he upgraded to Cobb? If so then you have a problem since the cobb is married to the car.

You could always just download both the proceded and JB software and see which one connects

Has anyone yet asked, how much over or under market rates for stock did you pay? Seems a good car

Everyone is implying the dinan intake is worth so much but idk about the rest of you but if someone was to sell an overpriced dinan intake, who would buy it considering the cheaper alternatives.

Plus if someone has the money to purchase the dinan in the begining they probably arent hurting for $$...Most likely the guy traded the car in and didnt have a care for it anymore. Maybe took the tune out for warranty work and never put it back in.

With that said, it defly looks like a jb4 usb cable, which saves you time and about 35 bucks. Order yourself a new jb4, install it, and have a blast.

Congrats on the purchase

The Dinan intake is arguably the best intake for this car. Everything else is a step behind in some way or another. Most poeple don't buy it cause they aren't willing to spend the money. However, the Dinan Intake in the used market goes very quick and for a reason.

Maybe the previous owner found himself a great deal that he himself couldnt walk away from and had to turn the car in quickly without taking off all mods. If a dealer offered me enough for my car and gave me the price i want on the new car, then i could definitely see myself not going through the hassle of returning my FBO car plus the coilovers back to stock.

I found out the previous owner traded the car in at Seattle BWM. So he probably bought something newer. Maybe a car that the JB4 could be installed on also like a newer 335. But I'm just guessing.

I'm torn on buying a second 335 or M3. I test drove a 2011 M3 with competition package. I was very impressed with the handling, power and how fast the 7-speed M dual clutch transmission shifted up and down through the gears. I felt like I was driving a formula car! But the price of the car (M3), fuel costs and maintenance cost would hit my wallet hard. This makes the 335i seem like a better choose.
Anyone have an opinion on the 335 or M3 dilemma I'm having?
