Cobb on the way

Do I need update it prior to installing it? What is the most current version? Is it 4.02? And is that the one I want. I have read on here that people prefer certain software versions.

4.02 is the latest set of maps. Download the maps applicable to your serial number (APwill tell you this when you connect it to car), mods, and octane gas to be used.

I'd plug the AP into your computer and fire up AccessPort Manager and see if there is a firmware update available

you will see current version on their website under maps.

Yeah plug it in when you get it. It'll take a whole 5min to update and install software

+1, first check for pc firmware update.

Hope you are ready for the added hp and torq / I was like holy .... when I installed my cobb. Its an awesome product, make sure you get intake, and check your dv's for boost leaks, have fun.

I'll be getting mine soon as well! can't wait. So do you plug it in the computer first and update, then plug it in the car to see what version, then plug it in the computer to download maps? or plug it in the car first to see what version, then plug it in the computer and update and download? Sorry if that's a stupid question...

I'd plug it into the car first to determine your ROM. Then before installing anything, plug into your computer/run AP manager to update maps and firmware if necessary
