Opinions on Taillight Tinting

Hi all,
wanted to get some opinions from you on what type of tinting to do for my taillights.

I know some will say to get blacklines, but I'm look for a cheap DIY mod for now. May consider blacklines down the line.

As you'll notice in the pics, I'd prefer to keep the reverse light untinted, I find that light useful for reversing at night.

Comments / opinions WELCOME!!

Image 1: Stock
Image 2: Light Smoke (similar to blackline - except for top portion)
Image 3: Darker Smoke
Image 4: Blackout (except reverse)
Image 5: Black Bottoms (something different/unique - thoughts?)

Thanks for the help! Look forward to comments

Leave it as is.

Tail light tint to me is the first mod I notice when looking at a riced out car.

Dude, I like your ride! Curious though, with the all red tails, I'm guessing your reverse lights shine red? Ideally I'd like to keep them white, or maybe light smoked... don't want to darken them much.

Also, I'd personally prefer to darken the lights, rather than add more red. To each their own I suppose.

Oddly enough, I really like the full blackout look, but as the previous poster said, I don't want to "rice" it out (or IMO, "ghetto" it out).

Leaning towards just smoking them, though I still do like the look of the "ghetto" blacked out ones.

Thanks. I don't find tinting tails ghetto like most people on here, because it depends on the build of your car and it's entirety. I never tell people to murder their tails as I had a friend who got rear ended by an idiot and his case and insurance went out the door because of "tinted taillights" instead of negligence of the other driver, so just a word to the wise. But if you do a light tint to a dark cherry color and a full black out of the reverse light would look badass in an 'L' shape of the tails like the older e46 sedans. Hope this helps, happy modding.

As you would anything else, buy tint spray or red vinyl.

I wouldn't tint. It opens up liability if you get into an accident and it doesn't look that good. If anything, you can do that mod where you turn that red top corner white that way it will look like the top is white and bottom red.

that "mod" is called swapping it out for blackline taillights.
