URGENT HELP ASP Please guys !!
Hi all, am posting from my iPhone so bear with me.
I am currently in the Canary Islands on holiday with family and today our villa was broken into, they took 3 iPads, 2 iPhones and a canon slr camera and some other stuff. They also took my wenger backpack which had my BMW car key in-which is sat in gatwick long stay. I fly back tomorrow eve to gatwick and am stuck as to how to get home or get another fob ?? Does anyone know what I can do ? I have no spare fob and live in dorset ? Any advice appreciated - as I am stuck and have a wife and daughter in tow. My mobile is 07557 132851 if you can text ( I know posting a number on here is not great but logging on here via an iPhone is a pain ) Thanks a lot in advance Craig |

Craig you may wish to call BMW first thing in the morning. It may be possible to get a key programmed for your VIN# and get a courier to drop the key to you? There is Vines of BMW at Gatwick who would be the best bet. Tel: 01293 611117
Sorry to hear about the break in.

It may be possible to get it done same day, and have BMW Assist help you at Gatwick. I'm not sure what they can offer same day but definitely call and ask

I live in Horley 5 minutes from gatwick. This is the number for bmw down the road. 01293 772000 could they get you a key done in time? Or if there is a key at home someone get get couried to you at gatwick? If not, as said I live 5 minutes away get it sent to my place. (I appreciate you don't know me and I would be wary also). And I'll drop it to you at collection point.
Darren

Well it seems no joy at all, they all need 24hrs to get me a new fob and proof of ownership shown in person. Will have to get a hire car and leave the car there until I get a new one - cheers for the help all.

OP sorry to hear about the mishap! Gadgets can always be replaceable (granted not cheap) but at least nobody was hurt. Best of luck, |

All good, home insurance covers it all, Woods of BMW quoted me £170 + VAT for a new Fob, so all in it will cost me around £350 for having it stolen (hire car, extra parking, fuel etc)
This thread really proves the value of this forum and cheers to you all |
