Anyone near Traverse City?
Leaving tomorrow afternoon for some much needed vacation. I'm gonna be up in the Traverse City area for a couple days. Anything going on over the next couple days?
Thanks- Wil

I was there last week... stayed in the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa... they have really nice condos on the property if you need a place to stay. Bit pricey but well worth it. The cherries aren't too good this year, I hear. Sleeping Bear Dunes is gorgeous. Downtown has a younger atmosphere. Buy tons of fudge.

Those cookies are no joke. Word has it one of the presidents used to get them shipped to him all the time!

Sorry to revive an old thread, but was just curious what the car scene is like in and around Traverse City. Any locals that can chime in? Is it mostly just a tourist area, or is there a "car culture" to speak of?
I ask because the wife and I may relocate there in the not-too-distant future, pending the state of the job market of course. We are both transplants here in upstate NY, so Traverse City is an attractive place to start a family since her parents live there. I already know it's a beautiful area with a lot to like.
