What's is the BMW automatic trans fluid called?

Hey,

I noticed my transmission might need some help I'm looking to get a bottle of the special BMW transmission fluid additive but I don't know the name or model number.

ZF LifeGuard 6. You can buy online. Thectsc.com has reasonably priced oil change kits.

Not that I remember. Dealerships usually stock ATF fuids in bulk (55 gallon drums).

Well I meant there was a special fluid in a small bottle specifically for BMW transmissions made by BMW for slipping, I do not remember the name but it is made by BMW.

I've never heard of such a thing. Perhaps your mechtronics sleeve is leaking. It's a common issue with E90 330 and usually has already been replaced by now.

I got this info recently and apparently is "suitable" for our auto tranny, but definitely double check.

BMW LT 71141, ETL-7045E and M-1375.4 are different oils for different transmissions! For author's bimmer goes M-1375.4 only!!!
