Red face My E92 saved my life!!!!

Today I was going past an exit slip road with a cue of traffic in it on the m25. I was in the slow lane doing about 60-70 mph then all of a sudden some brainless impatient idiot pulls out the cue straight into my path leaving me no room or time to stop. I had no choice but to swerve at a real harsh angle around the car missing it by a hair going into the middle lane then swerving back into the slow lane so I didn't hit another car, thankfully I was on the ball at the time and had very quick reactions.
Anyway I was so so impressed with how my e92 did. The steering was amazingly response and the car controlled itself amazingly too. I had an astra vxr and a Nissan 350z before the e92 and I know both them cars would have lost it doing such a thing and so would a lot of other cars. I had such a near miss to being like this or if not worse all because of some .
So thank you bmw for making such a brilliant car

Electronics

Its all down to the speed and abilities of the on-board electronics, which is why switching them off makes little sense

In my 11yrs of bmw ownership i have had similar moments when the true build / automotive quality of the car demonstrates itself making you realise just how good they are!

Garage List
Sounds like some good reactions helped as well.

What happened to you is the reason why I will move into lane 2 when passing stationary traffic, you can never be sure of what some idiot will attempt

Thanks Gaza and I used to sit in the middle lane when passing slip roads but there's that stupid law where you can get a fine for sitting in the middle lane On a motorway so I'm weary of doin it.
