Posted In W&T Forum, Anything I Need to Know since XI?
I posted this in the tire and wheel section but I've posted it here as well because I want to know if there's anything I need to take into consideration because my car is XI. Is there anything unusual I need to know because of x-drive?
Thanks -------------------------------- Hey folks, my run-flats are close to needing replacement. I decided to go with non RFTs and started shopping for tire sizes. It was at this time I decided I wanted to change my wheels. It is a 2011 335 xi coupe, with m-sport package. Came with style 193M wheels (18x8 ET34 - 225/40/18 and 18x8.5 ET37 - 255/35/18). The suspension hasn't been touched, so it has the wheel gap I read so much about on these forums. I would like to get 4 OEM style 359 wheels (all 19" x 9" ET31) and mount Michelin Super Sports. I'm thinking 235/35/19 for the front. I've read on here that the Super Sports are more square, does anyone know if this front set-up will cause me any problems? Rather than getting the normal 19"x10" rears, I'm thinking of either going with same size tires all around or mounting wider tires on the rear 19x9 wheels. If going wider, should I just stick with the current 255 width I already have on the rears? Once the manufacturer's warranty falls away in a year, I'll lower the car at that time, nothing aggressive, just something to narrow the gap. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks |
