Hi all, hoping some of you may be of assistance to me, my car seems to be running poorly. The car is an 07 e92 AT with 85k running OFT stg 0 with dci only and 91 octane. Codes are 2d58, 30ff, 29dc, and a very scary 30ed. It seems perfectly fine at low rpm and mid range, and displays the poor performance at higher rpm/high load in the higher gears and seems to be severely underboosting in the higher gears. It has the newest hpfp, 1 new coil pack and 6 new plugs in the last 2k miles, no misfire codes since the coil pack and plugs. Linked below is the log, I appreciate any help or advice

(Not too familiar but I think you can ignore this one for now).

30FF:
Boost Leak (You will need to find the source of the leak as there is no direct culprit)


29DC Cylinder injection switch-off
EXPLANATION: Fuel related code
FIX: Normally requires fuel pump replacement

30ED Glow ignition: cylinder 1
This is usually an indication of a Lean Condition in your Air fuel ratio although according to your logs you seem to be OK.

I would clear all the codes and see which come back but you definitely have a boost leak. Start check vac lines and checking intercooler and charge pipe couplers and connections first. With your mileage and original vac lines I would replace all of those first including the ones under engine cover and to your boost solenoids.

Cool thanks for the tips, are these cars typically unaffected in idle quality/speed with a boost/vac leak? Ill see about getting a leak tester mounted to the hotside ic coupler to test everything downstream.

Sometimes a smaller boost leak is not detected until higher loads. And your timing seems WAY too high for running 91 octane, tune and dci only along with 155 degree IATs.

So I tightened the charge pipe clamp and re-seated the oem bypass valves as they had some oily residue and looked as if they could have been leaking. I took another log and it looks alot better, boost still lags behind target on tip in and stays below target on steady light throttle inputs, guess I have some more checking to do. 2nd log below:
