They work on ES as well. Wait for low temperature conditions and try.
If not, then its a matter of coding. Done it on ES and it worked. Not sure if coding made it work or they were working pre-coding as well.

Hey makkan you're the man but have to respectfully disagree - either that or my temp gauge is dodgy .

Car showed 7.5 degrees this am. All windows and mirrors were fogged. Put on rear demist. While I sat on the drive waiting for the wife, the mirrors cleared from the top down.

I just wish the rear screen would clear anywhere near as quickly. That still hadn't cleared properly 10 mins later.

Well i will find out when it gets to 5c, to me it makes sense it should be with something like re demist or the like, can coding be changed on this? What a trivial thing with such a long topic, yet I guess a switch or a push button on the mirror adjuster would have cost so much more!!!! yet made all the difference.

Your car may be very kind to you my friend.

Here is what manual says

Automatic heating*
At outside temperatures below a certain limit, both exterior mirrors are automatically heatedwhile the engine is running or the ignition
switched on.

It does not tell us what the 'limit' is. It also does not ask to turn on anything.

A quick search reveals....

The values are

Without Wipers on
Temp 5 to 15'C 50% power
Temp 5 to -10'C 75% power
Temp below -10'C 100% power

With Wipers on
Temp 25 to 35'C 25% Power
Temp 15 to 25'C 50% Power
Temp 5 to 15'C 75% power
Temp 5'C and below 100% power

100% power is 18W

Reference. Don't know though how true is that

Good find

I can live with that - as long as the auto wipers counts as having them on. I'll test next time it's dewy.

Auto wipers does count as being on but I think the whole thing still varies between different models and production dates.
