No disrespect, but confidence and comfort level are not equivalent to the science of the compounds working in the conditions they were designed for. Your stopping distances, grip tolerances, etc will all be worse with all-seasons. I personally don't believe in all-seasons because they do nothing well all year round. Your driving will be safer in the winter when snow does hit, and you can increase the longevity of your other 3-season tires. Maybe check the local classifieds, or pick up a cheap setup on TireRack.

I run Nokian studded on oem small wheels. It made last years blizzard it's b$tch. No issues what so ever and I could still turn off traction and do some power slides

I had the same set up previously 335xi with bridgestone blizzak on all four for the winter. The car was like a freight train. The thing was unstoppable. The blizzak's were not run flats. This did make me anxious on longer trips not having a spare but the compromise in added safety was well worth it. Also having the tpms in the tires takes a lot of the worry away from wondering about a flat. The non run flat tires make the ride 100% smoother as well. Best of luck to you this winter.

^^^^^^^ Absolutely. All Seasons is that Jack of all Trades master of none.... I have always run snows in the winter here in Mass and have sworn by dedicated snow tires since the first time I have ever used them 8 years ago. Check out Continentals they are cheap if you get 17's 540 bucks or so and they last. Also about RFT's..... so not worth the money. First they suck in the wet because they are far to stiff, ride like having square wheels, and for the difference in price YOU CAN BUY A SPARE TIRE.
