Annoying squeeking noise

Basically i have an annoying squeeking / humming noise which only happens on right hand turns!
Its rather loud and does my head in

I have worked out its the interior fan for the climate control. As switching the fan off the noise is no longer there on turning.

Anybody have any ideas as why it squeeks and hums (fan) on right hand turns only?

Do a forum search for "fan squeak" I had the same and used some spray oil on the fan shaft which you can just about get to by removing the microfilter box under the bonnet. Quick 10 minute job.

Was yours only one one direction too!?

When driving in a straight line or turning left its silent, turn right and it drives me completely bonkers!

It doesnt do it with the fan off so its definately the interior fan

Yes exactly the same, always when going round right corners. Really annoying when driving round roundabouts.

You'll need to get a spray can with a spray tube fitted so you can direct the spray onto the bearing shaft. Either that or the fan can be removed by removing the glovebox and a load of trim. I did mine the easy way. Slight smell of oil for the first couple of days with the fan running but quiet and smelling normal now.

I too had this same issue and it drove me mad!
At first I just sparyed some WD40 with a straw tube on the bearing. This solved it for a couple of months before it returned.

I just had to re-do it, and this time I used the method somebody on here suggested of getting a long screw driver, placing it on the rusty bolt and then letting the oil run down the screw driver directly onto the bolt.
This worked very well.
Much less smell of WD40 in the car this way too

Now just need to eliminate the annoying sqeauk from the big bit of silver trim in the cabin.... this noowhere near as loud or freqeunt, but still annoying!
