Winter tyres and wheel sizes?

Hi guys,

I've got a 325i e91. It's on 18" wheels but want to put a set of winter tyres on. Thinking it'll be cheaper if I come down a rim size or 2?

Question is what wheel and tyre size will fit?

I'm not in the uk at the mo so cannot get near my motor.

16" rims wont fit around yr calipers so 17" is the smallest u can go!

17 inch, 225 with all round are BMW standard winter tyre profiles.

Personally I've gone for 18 inch with staggered 225/255's on my 325.
