E92 driver side finishing trim replacement

Just bought a 320D M Sport Coupe Highline and have one minor irritation. The black finishing trim that runs around the roof above the drivers door has a small area (about an inch) with some bubbling up of the surface, I assume it could be underlying corrosion of the trim.
Before I completely knacker the trim trying to remove it, can anyone tell me if this is an easy DIY job and if so how do I go about it, or do I need to take it to Dealer and pay a fortune for an 'expert' to replace it?

Had the exact same problem on my e92, mine was replaced under warranty with the parts costing in excess of £1K apparently, they say the job cost around £2K because it's 3 separate pieces or something... Not sure how true this was as I wasn't the one paying!

Ouch! £2000! mine's out of warranty, I'll talk to the local Indy, see what he says, unless anyone else has an alternative.
