So I pulled out the oem reading light bulbs and tried to fit a couple different kinds of T10 LED's into the slot and it seems like the LED's just won't slide in. It would slide in 1-2mm but it is not enough to get the LEDs to light up.

Anyone else encountered this problem?

Okay, without sounding condescending, have you tried flipping the orientation of the LED bulbs? Some are directional/polarity sensitive, and won't run if installed backwards.

That being said, I don't know what kind of LED bulbs you have or where you bought them from. Do you know if they're advertised as error-free? If they're not, they're definitely not going to work.

I've been very happy with my HighPerformanceBulbs LED kit (see my review linked in my signature), and you can get the kit through TopGearSolutions in the vendor forum.

He said he couldn't get them INSTALLED, not that he couldn't get them to light up..... OP, try pushing harder? Might be a tight fit, but they literally slide in.
