Just bought a 330d LCI; is it worth a software update?

Due to more miles, I've just bought a 2009 330d to replace my M3; sad times!

The 330d is an auto with CIC. The seller didn't believe it had Bluetooth streaming which is something I'll want to retrofit.

I'll also want to remap it to get it somewhere near the M3.

Is a software update worthwhile before the combox and remap and even from a standalone perspective?

Will the software update pose the mapper any extra issues.

The car comes with a service pack running to 60k, would thus cover any element of the update?
