Yes, it will be safe to drive it but only if you drive in reverse to go back to the positive side.

Do your brakes feel any different? Do they make noise? You're fine.

BTW, how many miles on it?

ok... well going through the curves are a little hard in reverse.
and definitely can't see at night bc the windows are tinted.
so i'll pass on that.
they don't feel different but they do make noise if i brake a bit hard.
29k miles.
thanks.

Well if you hear noise from your rotors, they're more than likely shot.
1) Is your car still under service warranty? Figuring it's a 325i, most 325i's only had the 30K warranty
2) Why didn't you get the warning message earlier? Unless the noise you hear are the brake wear sensors and the -70 from that point.

Hopefully you'll have it covered under factory service

and this happend friday after i got off work.
so coudln't do it on friday.
saturday the service department is closed.
monday i call them and they said thursday.

it's ok, i once had a message on my car that told me that the rear brakes needed to be replaced in 300,000 kms, LOL!! the brakes will last longer than the car itself ROLF!

just go to dealer and tell them to reset your ecu and you're good to go
