CCC to CIC upgrade
So im about to upgrade my ccc to cic (2011). And have a few questions:
1. The cic is from a m3 but going into a diesel saloon. Does this matter? 2. It doesnt come with any leads and i have been searching and am still unsure what cables i need. 3. Also, i read that the power connector to the cic unit needs be changed. Is there a harness i can buy to avoid changing the harness (in case i decide to put the ccc back in at a later date)? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. |

Lots and lots of info on this all around the interweb. Google is your friend!!
But your need screen cable, new power plug for screen, CIC emulator. Maybe new trim for CIC surround. USB cable+port. |

So it seems i do need the emulator.
Other Questions: Which emulator - any recommendation? How do i wire this? Is there a pnp harness which i can buy to plug into the cic without changing the current pins? Do i need to upgrade car firmware in order for the cic to work (even after coding) - its 2006 and firmware never been upgraded? Last edited by creativ101; 02-26-2014 at 09:41 AM.. |

Hi
I did a CCC to CIC upgrade a few month ago. And I Can really recomend it. You need a canbus filter for it to work. Search ebay for it. And you also need an activation code for the navigation, and you are good to go.
