Injectors..-.-

So finally got this system too lean bank 2 code (P0174) checked out by my indy,
turns out not enough fuel is getting to bank 2, had 4 injectors replaced a year ago from a different shop and now my warranty company doesn't want me getting it serviced at my indy shop because they said the other place was suppose to warranty the injectors. Still waiting on a call but hopefully it gets sorted out. -.- weather was nice too was driving like a beauty here in t-dot

Doesn't have to be a bad injector. A vacuum leak, leaking intake manifold gasket, or failing O2 sensor can trigger the same codes. Deteriorating vacuum lines, in particular, is a very common problem on these cars.

Those codes will get thrown when there is too much air and the air/fuel ratio is off by at least 20%. Bad injectors are one possibility but certainly not the only one. Anything that introduces unmetered air like a vacuum leak or an intake manifold leak will also affect the ratio. The question is, did multiple year-old injectors really go bad or did your indy just happen to jump to the most expensive possible fix?
