BMW 320SI Engine Management light= misfiring, vibrating, lees power etc
hi folks.
i have a 2006 BMW 320Si Limited edition model and there seems to be something wrong with it. it's misfiring, engine won't stay at a normal pace at standstill, rev up slightly and then back down, vibrates a lot in first couple of gears at low speed. power is not there, will still hit 90-100+mph on motorway as long as it's not a slope. Will turn over at the push of a the ignition, but a with a bit of strain. I took it to a garage, and they hooked it up to the computer. the fault is showing in 'Cylinder 2' and 'Cylinder 3'. The mechanic said most likely it' the engine, he was talking about something being bent inside over time. but at the same time he said a car with 50,000miles it should not happen. could it be any other small problem' like software update, coils, etc. would love some help. thanks. |
