Wheel spacers - locking bolt

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered before. I have recently puchased some wheel spacers and they have 6 holes, x5 for the wheel bolts and x1 for the small bolt that holds it to the hub. My question is, is it nesessary to secure the spacer with this bolt? and if so where can i buy an extended one?

Thanks
