I drive info
I have an e60 530d the I drive has a mind of its own been told it's the main unit were the disc goes can this be replaced with a second hand one will it require coding

Try here mate. Not sure if there are specific differences between 3 and 5. I would hazard a guess no, not if you're replacing like for like. |

From my time with an E60
I'm sure the (CD/DVD) disc drive is a fairly standard item and easily replaced, but I would doubt that it is your problem, as it is only an "add-on" If you are talking about the audio hard drive as fitted to later E60's, I would suggest that it would need coding to the car Mike |
