Comfort Access not functioning correctly, and low remote range

I've only had the car about 2 months, but lately I have to literally be standing right on top of the car for the remote to unlock via the unlock button, and most of the time the comfort access does not work to lock or unlock the car using the door handle. It worked perfectly until about a week ago.

I called up my dealer and they said to bring it in, but they want to replace the car battery which isn't covered under CPO (Car has 50,500 miles) and I would be looking at $$$ to replace it. The fob batteries are brand new and made zero difference.

Anyone else had a similar issue?

Do you drive lots of short trips? The battery is probably quite discharged if that's the case.

Put a battery charger on the car to charge it up and try again.

I take it you didn't tint the car.

I take it you didn't tint the car.
Tint is known to cause problems with radio waves.
Aftermarket Battery will run anywhere from 100 to 200
with the upper range being better.
I have a Interstate MTP 49/H8
Do not use battery backup when changing the battery
it will blow fuses.
Get it registered at an Indy or by a local coder.
Yes put a charge on it first to see what happens.

You shouldn't need to replace the battery that soon... try replacing the batteries in the fob to see if that makes a difference. Also try disconnecting the negative battery term for 30 min and reconnecting.

I did tint the car, but it worked fine afterwards, I could even unlock the car from inside my house with the remote. The battery in the car is almost 4 years old, so I guess it could be bad or getting weak. I drive 30 minutes to and from work everyday. I did change both fob batteries and it still does it.

I would check the voltage on both batteries

I would check the voltage on both batteries
for starters just to get it out of the way.
